Health is feeling positive and energetic, with the ability to put in a good day’s work on the job, and still have energy for our family when we get home at night.
Being healthy means taking charge of our schedules and making time for our priorities. It means finding balance between proper nutrition, activity, and rest.
Preventive health means taking the time to be educated on how active we should be in the course of our day and knowing the proper foods that we should put into our bodies. At the same time we should know what foods to run from like our life depends on it. Because it does!
Many people don’t realize that what we put into our bodies has a major effect on how we feel. This means learning to look at food as merely a fuel to keep the body going, as opposed to meals being major events that we plan our lives around.
We must ask ourselves the question: What do we have if we don’t have our health? We cannot take lightly our responsibility in taking care of the one body that is given to us to manage for a lifetime.
Today let’s start realizing the importance of living long enough to see our children, our grandchildren, and our great-grandchildren grow up to lead long, healthy and happy lives.
Are you ready? On your marks, get set, go!
